Pretty Pastels

Sloan Miyasato
SFDC Showplace #200

Pastels’ enduring charm has always been in their sweet and flirty femininity. Yet fashion designers are injecting them with an edgy urbanity that cuts the sweetness and heightens their hipness.

Likewise on the home front, where pastels have been perceived as too precious for high-use areas, Chella proves that pretty can be practical. Sturdy and alluring in equal measure, Chella’s charmingly pale performance textiles possess a logic-defying imperviousness to red wine, rain, and the sun’s radiance, rendering these indoor/outdoor fabrics a far cry from shrinking violets.

View these fabrics at Sloan Miyasato in the SFDC Showplace #200.

Sloan Miyasato is the primary destination for furniture, fabric, floor covering, lighting, antiques and accessories, and fine art for the interior design professional.

The tradition and beauty of antiques provided the inspiration for Sloan Miyasato’s creation. The original owners, each a successful purveyor of fine Asian antiques, produced an unprecedented source for this genre of collectibles.

Whether looking for a clean, sleek, contemporary piece or more classic, traditional lines, Sloan Miyasato has something exceptional for every residential or commercial environment.

When designing outdoor spaces, interior designers must take into consideration the effect of nature’s elements. Aside from functional performance, there is a new aesthetic sensibility that must be satisfied. Innovative technologies have enabled today’s textile designers to create beautiful and luxurious performance fabrics that can be used effectively for indoor as well as outdoor spaces.

The versatility of style, color and design in this relatively new fabric category are growing at a phenomenal rate. This course will cover the why, why not and how-to‚Äôs of sophisticated design that transcends the boundaries of “indoor” and”outdoor”.

Light refreshments will be served.
