San Francisco 49er Vernon Davis Launches Interior Design Company

The first official launch of Modern Class Design (MCD), an interior design company co-founded by NFL tight end Vernon Davis and music business executive Antone Barnes, takes place at Ferrari of San Francisco on Sunday, Dec. 4. The occasion, beginning at 7:00 PM, will showcase MCD furniture pieces along with the luxury vehicles of Ferrari. “My love for art inspired me to do interior design,” stated Vernon Davis. “When I saw that Antone had the same passion that I did, I encouraged him to start a design company with me, because when you put our ideas together the end result is amazing….”
Enjoy Japanese appetizers and Napa Valley wine as you interact with players of the San Francisco 49ers including: Navorro Bowman, Frank Gore, Braylon Edwards, C.J. A portion of the event proceeds will benefit the Davis Family Foundation, a nonprofit organization created in 2010 by Vernon Davis and his brother, Vontae Davis of the Miami Dolphins. The Davis Family Foundation benefits community organizations supporting causes such as the arts, healthy and active lifestyles for children, and mothers and fathers battling addiction.

Designers of Distinction Awards Luncheon

To honor and recognize Bay Area interior designers, the San Francisco Design Center showrooms are pleased to present the first ever Designers of Distinction Awards gala luncheon as part of Design San Francisco 2011. Over 200 designers were nominated by the SFDC showrooms in eight categories and winners will be announced at the luncheon. The SFDC is proud to celebrate and acknowledge the best in the interior design industry. Congratulations to all the nominees! Tickets are available here. Our goal is to inspire you with all manner of creative possibilities, provocative ideas and valuable intelligence on what’s happening locally and globally. A signature event will be Designers of Distinction, the SFDC Awards of Excellence for Bay Area designers.
