Tomorrow: After Hours @ SFDC

Every third Thursday, designers, their clients and consumers are invited to sip a glass of wine and enjoy delectable small bites amid a background of music, theater, visual, or culinary delights – before discovering our showroom treasures.  From 5 – 8pm tomorrow @ Janus et Cie (Showplace 195), the charming musical duo, Laura and Anton will greet visitors with classic French and American songs on guitar and violin. Sparkling wine and French inspired noshes will be served supporting the theme: The Salon at the San Francisco Design Center.

For consumers, on-site complimentary design consultations are available –you are encouraged to bring your plans and/or photographs and meet with a designer on-site.  If you are new to the SFDC, you may sign-up for complimentary private tours customized to your design aesthetic.  Make the San Francisco Design Center your ultimate third Thursday night destination.

Joyce & Maya Romanoff: Recipients of the 2012 Visionaries Lifetime Achievement Award from the Museum of Arts & Design

Donghia, Inc.
SFDC Galleria #144

This year’s Visionaries! Gala and Awards Ceremony, held on Tuesday, November 27, honored designers and entrepreneurs Joyce and Maya Romanoff with the 2012 Visionary! Lifetime Achievement Award.  Joyce and Maya are leaders of innovative wall coverings and surfacing materials that bring great design into our daily lives.

David McFadden, Chief Curator at MAD, describes Joyce and Maya as true examples of all things visionary: “If I were to highlight two traits that serve as foundation stones for the Romanoff firm and for its extended family of employees, it would be boundless creativity and generosity of spirit. Maya and Joyce’s love of beauty is buttressed by their pursuit of quality in their production, and the integrity of their relationships with designers, craftsmen, and philanthropic institutions. They are respected and esteemed members of the MAD family and the Museum is thrilled to recognize their ongoing efforts to sustain the rich history of American artisan-made products.”

Shop Donghia in SFDC Galleria #144 and see the beauty for yourself.
