One-of-a-Kind Rugs at Khrome Studios by Direct Designs Home

Khrome Studios
by Direct Designs Home
SFDC Showplace #403

These gorgeous rugs were once worn down, but have been neutralized to remove their original color, then over-dyed to create modern and monochromatic one-of-a-kind rugs.

The unorthodox approach to the final product yields a wide variety of beautifully saturated patterns.  Khrome Studios by Direct Designs Home has over a dozen oversized; re-dyed, re-form, re-made rugs at a special price off the floor.

Until May 15th only!

Call 415.864.0583 and view the creations here.

Brown Jordan Introduces…

Brown Jordan
SFDC Galleria #300

Introducing the Richard Frinier Collection for Brown Jordan!  This is quite the story that started in the early 80s. Richard Frinier, who worked with Brown Jordan for 22 years prior to forming his own creative consultancy in 2002, has returned to Brown Jordan for an encore collaboration to develop what is now called The Richard Frinier Collection for Brown Jordan.  A trilogy of designs inspire the desire for a hurried world to slow things down and take the time to dream.

For his encore collaboration with Brown Jordan, Richard Frinier asked, “What would happen if you had the time to be still and allowed your mind to drift . . . would it feel like you were on cloud nine?”  From this thoughtful question, three designs emerged that are simply called, Still, Drift, and Cloud Nine.

Also,  Brown Jordan has joined efforts with furniture designer Mathias Hoffmann to create a bold and innovative collection – Architect, Cubic, and Shape – that is sculptural and interacts with emotional effect, function and color.

Plus, they’ve added attractive new planters for the home! Apply the finishing touch to any leisure space and accentuate the style of your Brown Jordan furniture with a variety of colors, textures and sizes. Available to the trade only.

Spotlight on Geoffrey De Sousa by Decorati Access

Photographer: Matthew Millman

Decorati Access posted a wonderful article on Geoff De Sousa, Co-owner of the highly acclaimed De Sousa Hughes showroom in the SFDC Showplace.  According to Decorati “Since launching his eponymous firm, Geoffrey De Sousa has made a name for himself creating urbane, artful spaces that reflect his curatorial mindset.

Whether a high-rise pied-a-terre or historic residence, De Sousa’s interiors are cosmopolitan and feel consummately modern. De Sousa’s projects include homes in San Francisco, Palm Springs, Boston and Manhattan, a 10,000-square-foot Pacific Heights home by Robert A.M. Stern and a five-star Sonoma B&B. His work has been featured in Architectural Digest, Departures, Traditional Home, House Beautiful, California Home + Design and many other publications.”
